Failed Kin, Microsoft Focus to Windows Phone 7

Kin apparently did not live long. Only less than three months after moving into the market, Microsoft decided to discontinue the project smartphone. They are now working on the project will focus on Windows Phone 7.

Since May ago, Microsoft began marketing Kin. Two types are offered Microsoft's Kin, Kin Kin One and Two, targeting the youth target by relying on social networking features.

Unfortunately, consumers are welcoming the cold presence of Kin. Even rumors, Kin only sold 500 units. Some reviewers also criticized the smartphone is out. Kin judged difficult to use and less reliable features.

Microsoft then decided to mengobralnya, Kin also trimmed prices like crazy. But what can I say, Microsoft itself has been sentenced Kin as a failed project and decided to stop production. Now, the software giant chose to focus on developing Windows Phone 7.

"We've made the decision to focus on the release of Windows Phone 7 and Kin will not be marketed in Europe in the autumn as planned earlier," said Microsoft in its official statement, from Computer World, Thursday (07/01/2010).

Microsoft also said it plans to merge the project team with a team of Kin Phone seventh Windows, combining brilliant ideas from Kin and Windows Phone, in order to create a more sophisticated smartphones in the future.

"We're still going to work with Verizon in the United States to sell its remaining mobile Kin," Microsoft's cap.
