Installing Windows XP on Macbook with Boot Camp

Installing Windows on a computer system is a little bit different Macbook with a computer or laptop but this is usually easy to do. Follow the steps below.

1. Download the latest version of Boot Camp.

2. Run Boot Camp Assistant and burn a Macintosh Drivers CD that contains the essential device drivers for Windows XP that can access various parts of the Mac hardware. So now Burn a Macintosh Drivers CD and click Next.

3. Once you're done with the Macintosh, CD driver, you have to partition the hard drive for Windows XP. By default, the Mac gives only 5 gb to install Windows XP as shown. You can improve but if you want to use XP as your operating system.

You can resize by dragging the vertical bar between the two until you get the size you want and click Partition.

4. Now after you partition, insert the CD of Windows XP and wait for the Mac to recognize and then click Start Installation, and will start the Installation of Windows Xp Changer.

5. After that Windows XP Installation will begin to press Enter to continue, then select the partition. You have to be careful here and choose the correct partition that you created. For example if you create a disk partition which allows 6GB, then you will see the partition that has the space and choosing the right partition.

6. Now you must select the type of partition. There are two types, FAT and NTFS. NTFS is a new and great support while the FAT partition can not handle large partitions so you should choose the FAT and perform a full format not the one quickly.

Now after formatting, normal windows setup will run and install Windows Xp. Once installation is complete, your system will reboot and now you have to take the Windows XP CD and insert the Mac Drivers CD that was burned in step 2. During the installation of drivers, will display the Hardware Installation window as the various components of the Intel-based Macintosh does not pass the compatibility test of Microsoft Windows but apple sure that they are secure so that Click Continue Anyway. Will prompt you to reboot after installing the drivers and then when you reboot will start with Windows XP:

If you want to change the operating system and want to use a Mac, press the options below and you will be able to see both Mac and Windows and you can choose what ever you want to run both operating systems.
